Sources & methodology
Ampuno uses a reproducible local snapshot and preserves missing values as missing.
Primary vehicle dataset
An open vehicle specification dataset with per-variant source records. Ampuno currently uses release v1.24.0.
The sync script fetches the latest official JSON release and saves a compact normalized file used by the site.
Unavailable source values stay null and are displayed as “Not available.” Zero is never used as a substitute.
Exact-model photos are published only after source, licence, cutout and model checks. Until then, Ampuno uses a custom, non-branded WebP visual that represents the vehicle's broad body type.
Ampuno only highlights a leading numeric value when at least two selected cars contain that value. Official range is highlighted only if every compared value uses the same named test cycle. No overall score or winner is generated.
A local manifest records every model slug, visual path, source metadata, licence and approval status. Published exact photos link back to their source from the vehicle page. Until an exact photo is approved, Ampuno uses custom non-branded WebP body-type visuals for orientation; they are illustrative only, not manufacturer imagery or exact market representations.
