One model can have many variants
A model name can cover different battery sizes, drive layouts, body styles and model years. Ampuno groups these related variants under one model, then lets you choose the variant whose specification you want to inspect.
We preserve uncertainty
Data is sourced from an OpenEV Data release and normalized into a local snapshot. When a source value is unavailable, Ampuno shows it as unavailable instead of inventing a zero or an estimate.
Comparison highlighting is limited to like-for-like numeric values. Range is only highlighted when the selected cars use the same named test cycle.
No overall winner
The best electric car depends on charging access, budget, routes and space needs. Ampuno presents the trade-offs clearly rather than hiding them behind a single score.
Numbers need context
A specification without its unit, test cycle or variant can be misleading. Ampuno keeps units visible and labels unavailable values rather than quietly filling gaps. This makes it easier to see what is known, what is comparable and what still needs checking with the manufacturer or seller.
For example, a range figure is most useful alongside its test cycle, while maximum DC charging is a peak rather than a promise of a constant rate. The surrounding context matters as much as the headline number.
Use comparison to narrow a shortlist
Start by adding cars that genuinely fit your budget and body-type needs. Then compare the variants you would actually consider, paying attention to the figures that affect your routine: range, usable battery, AC charging and rapid charging.
